Earth Day Storms and Rainbows!

So yesterday was Earth Day and the weather was absolutely beautiful all day. The sun was shining and the air was fresh, aside from allergies, I love this time of year, especially when a gorgeous spring day ends with awesome thunderstorms and rainbows. I saw a glimpse of a rainbow through the trees but couldn't get a good enough view of it and didn't have time to go somewhere to get a good shot. I must have really missed a good one, everyone is talking about it, apparently it was a double rainbow and lasted a long time too, I've heard people talking about this rainbow from Lancaster, PA to Asbury Park, NJ. Haha! As I'm writing this my husband just tells me " I forgot to tell you !!!!!!! I saw a rainbow yesterday evening it was gorgeous, ALL the colors were visible AND both ends touched the ground I could actually see the WHOLE rainbow." He knows how much I love this type of stuff and I love it even more when other people get just as fascinated and excited as I do when the weather does something awesome. I wish I had a photo of this incredible rainbow, maybe I can snag one from someone who got a good shot, but for now all I've got is this photo I took while driving, it's no double rainbow but I still love when a storm is coming and you can still see the blue sky being pushed away by a big black cloud of what I always hope is going to be another great thunderstorm.

I managed to steal a photo of the double rainbow from Greg "The Potter" at laplaca pottery works. He's always taking great photo's of whats happening on the Asbury Park Boardwalk. So here's a great view of the Earth Day double rainbow on the beach in Asbury Park.
